This year was a landmark year for TLC Ministries. In 2011 the Lord expanded our outreach from the Dallas\Ft. Worth area to include Syracuse, NY via the church planting project\The Log College. At the same time, ministry continues using the Acts 1:8 model: Jerusalem (local), Judea (regional), Samaria (national) and the uttermost parts of the earth (international). It has been an exciting year!

One of the great highlights of the year was officially being recognized as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Briar (Azle, TX). We are thankful for accountability to our local church and the opportunity to reach the world with the gospel under their guidance. Soli Deo Gloria!

These bullet points give the highlights of the year. There is so much more we could write about. In fact, we do try to write about it in our regular email updates. If you would like to sign up for these updates, email Jon Speed at jon@lostcauseministries.com to be added to the list.

Financial Considerations

The reality of ministry finances is two-fold: 1) there are financial needs and 2) our Sovereign God answers prayer. Staff salary contributions for two staff members totals $1800 a month. There are no other expenses for the ministry. Consider what this means. This means that all of the ministry you have seen listed above and the related expenses have been provided by God. The tens of thousands of tracts, all travel expenses, festival booth fees, photocopying expenses for the church plant, web hosting & design, and the rest have been provided by direct answers to prayer apart from the gracious and loving support of our regular donors. This is not something to bemoan; it is something to rejoice over! God still answers prayer as He did for believers throughout church history.

Having said that, the Crawfords and the Speeds have to supplement their incomes via side businesses and other support. 13 people can’t live on this support alone. The Lord graciously provides. One way He does that is through your generous support.

Would you be willing to partner with us to bring the gospel around the world? Our goal is to continue to train believers in and do Biblically sound and sane street evangelism following the Acts 1:8 model. In 2012 we plan on following this same model as we seek to evangelize and disciple the nations for the glory of God.

We hope that The Log College project will spark a church planting\street evangelism movement across the Northeast–an area which has become desperate spiritually in spite of its rich history.
